The production of circular parts uses the curling tooling process. The thick circular parts have to use single die for production usually so the effeciency is low. Because the circular parts are curling to process, there isn’t any strip connecting area. So usually this can’t be made with progressive die for automatic production. That’s the difficulty to make the curling die in the way of progressive die, and many companies don’t have any better idea to solve it to build a progressive die.

Our company breaks through the technical barriers in the industry and bravely innovates to use the structure of part pushing part for feeding to design the tool. The theory is let the parts push themselves into the next forming station to form and part off at the end. As the pictures shown, the size tolerance of inner circle is in high demand, which is the critical size for assembling. The tool structure we design is to make a post as the inner core and parts will be formed in two stations. The inner core imitate the mating part of product and the part will be pushed by the previous one after forming to slide on the core for production, which completely meets the tolerance demand.

Our tool room has the team of tool design and manufacturing with the experience over 10 years. We break through the technical difficulty of stamping production, and the processing tolerance of our tooling has reached to +/-0.007mm. Our tooling can produce the parts in thicknesses of 0.05-3.00mm and the miminum punching hole can be up to 0.08mm. The designed working life of curling die is up to 1 million strokes. The critical die plates use the DC53 high-quality steel and are heat treated to HRC58-60, and the punches and die inserts uses DC53 and are heat treated to HRC60-62. we use MISUMI guide pin and bushing and Kaller gas spring, etc as the standard parts of tooling.
